Individual Services

Telehealth services using the Doxy Me platform that is HiPPA compliant.

Requirements for telehealth services:

  • Client cannot be in crisis prior to session.
  • Client must be in a secure and private location.
  • Therapist must have physical address of where the client will be at during session.
  • Therapist must be given the Name, Address, and phone number of the nearest hospital with an emergency room to where the client is during sessions.

Couples and Premarital Counseling

Therapist utilizes the Save Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) Report for marriage and premarital counseling.  The SYMBIS report looks at 16 different areas of the relationship to discuss hot button topics that may arise during the course of the relationship to provide areas of discussion and provide opportunities to compromise.

The SYMBIS Assessment has an additional one -time fee of $35 per couple that is paid directly to SYMBIS at the time of assessment.  To take the SYMBIS Assessment, both clients will provide their name and a separate email address for each client.  Client’s will take the assessment separately without discussing the assessment with their partner.  Once the assessment is completed, therapist will have the report the following session and begin discussing the results of the assessment with the clients in session.  It will take 6-8 sessions to go through the report.  After the report is reviewed with the therapist, both individuals will receive a copy of the report for future refence.

Individual services for Minors

  • Current Custody Papers must be on file.
  • Initial appointment will be with parents/ guardians only if child is under 10 years of age or parent is uncomfortable with discussing things with child present.
  • Parental updates the last 15 minutes of session approximately every 4-5 weeks.
  • Monthly assessments to gauge progress.
  • Separate parenting skills when desired and appropriate.

What to expect during the initial session

  • Therapist will introduce herself
  • Give a little background on education
  • Therapist will go over the Professional services agreement with client.
  • Mental Status Exam
  • Therapist will take a brief history of symptoms.
  • Therapist and client will discuss goals for treatment.
  • Suicide Risk Assessment
  • Safety Plan (if needed)
  • Time in session to build rapport.
